I'm Melisa, a senior creative copywriter, freelance writer and editor working in digital and print communications for over a decade.
In 2009 I left my hometown of Melbourne, Australia, on a one-way ticket and have lived in Berlin, Germany ever since.
Over the years, I’ve created copy and ideas as part of global marketing campaigns and bespoke projects for MINI, Jaguar Land Rover, Timberland, Heimtextil, stijlinstituut amsterdam, Eucerin, Hansaplast, Modibodi and more. My long-form writing has also appeared in i-D, The Big Issue, Vestoj, Vice, The Planthunter and other publications.
In 2020 I earned a Graduate Certificate in Science Communication and created Fairweather Friend, a five-part podcast series about climate change denial in Australia.
Today, my freelance writing centres on design, culture and the environment. I’m also excited to work with purpose-led brands across the sustainability, innovation and social change space. If that sounds like you and you’d like to work together, don’t hesitate to contact me.
